Making Social Changes : A step at a Time

I've always been a firm believer that social changes start from the individual and go on up from there to make large impacts. With that in mind, I have decided to do at least one good thing a week that will help make a positive social impact in our nation. I do not have the resources to make it at the national level, so I am choosing to begin from my hometown, Kathmandu. My current office is located at Pepsicola, and there is a sight that I don't like while going there. A private land has been turned into a garbage dump. It is easy to think how it came to that: after the first piece of garbage was left there without being picked up, others began piling up, and one after another, the site became what it is today. There are thousands of places like that around the Kathmandu Valley, and I doubt that I alone will be able to clean them all, but I can still show the people what it is like and what impacts such a thing makes on our health, both physically and mentally. I cannot take it anymore, so I have decided to take action on it. My step is a small one, and I will post the relevant videos regarding the matter so that a larger consciousness can be reached. Today being Saturday seems like the best day to get the job done, so I have woken up around 5 o'clock and plan to head out there as soon as possible. I have linked below a TikTok video for the same issue that I was able to shoot yesterday. It is in Nepali, so non-Nepali users will just have to take my word for it. I will post an update soon enough.
